Professional Experience
With more than 19 years of experience in public accounting and industry, I’ve honed my expertise in conducting, supervising, and reviewing financial statement and internal control audits. My work has covered a wide range of businesses, including colleges and universities, hospitals, non-profits, financial institutions, manufacturers, and 401(k) plans.
I believe in working collaboratively with auditors and tax accountants, a philosophy that has helped me drive audits and tax returns to successful completion.
Career History
My experience includes accounts payable management, internal control documentation, governance risk and compliance, general ledger management, budgeting and forecasting, and account reconciliations.
Before founding Ferrari Accounting & Advisory, I held various positions in both public and private accounting. Most recently, I served as a manager for a large Southeastern accounting firm, where I specialized in the preparation and analysis of financial statements, compilations, and co-sourced accounting and controller services for non-profit and closely held businesses.
Education & Certification
I am a Certified Public Accountant licensed in South and North Carolina. I earned a Bachelor of Science degree (magna cum laude) in Accounting from the University of South Carolina Aiken, and a Masters in Accounting and Information Systems from Virginia Tech.
